Meet Joe Jackson and read his inspiring story of HOPE:
14th of August 2014, the day of my exam results, the day I was to begin training at a professional football club again, the day my life changed.
I was 21 at the time, a footballer in peak fitness. Loved ones had already passed away in my life. I thought I was safe. I was wrong. I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia and later developed blood clots on the brain. Sympathy is not my goal. I am lucky. Lucky in a way only some will see. Lucky to have an outlook on life much different to many. An appreciation that is indescribable with words. I loved my life before, I now cherish every single moment of it.
Being a model, my pictures aim to tell a story, to act as symbols of hope to those that need it, just like I did at one time, not simply vanity. To all those consumed by pain, I have been there, I have felt it and I am now the happiest I have ever been. Be strong and have hope, sunshine is around the corner.
